solo nimbus - sketchbooks

I’ve filled two sketchbooks this year with this habitual practice. Represented by clouds - a recognisable and ubiquitous symbol that represents calmness, serenity and simplicity. It is an ephemeral object which is a contrasting representation to our fleeting and wavering attention spans. The story of cloud maidens is a modern twist on traditional Polynesian mythology, these tales reflect the balance of natures and the interconnectedness of sky and earth. However, in my story they are trying to restore balance by cultivating the collective consciousness that modern society has discarded for new and invasive forms of technology.
